You To Know…

You To Know…

The 2nd Sunday of May is known by all as Mother’s Day. I, being a seasoned mother of 6 years myself, feel that I now possess the knowledge and experience of what mothers want for this special day and what mother’s do NOT want on this day in honor of mothers everywhere. For the love of blown-out wombs everywhere, please save your (our) money and please do NOT give us any of the following:

  • Screen Shot 2016-05-07 at 10.30.46 PMFlowers (expensive, wilt, and they sadly die)
  • Chocolate (it’s a weakness/gateway drug/extra skin breakouts and calories)
  • A brunch outing (shoot any meal really, especially when the kids are in tow)
  • Jewelry that isn’t identical or the exact pieces that are posted on our pinterest boards
  • Slave tools (Need I say more?)
  • Clothes (Why? Well, because we will most likely have to return them)

What mothers would LOVE for Mother’s Day:                                                   *Please note that all listed below counts as one gift.Screen Shot 2016-05-07 at 10.34.10 PM

  • Sleeping in a dark room, by ourselves, with soundproof doors and walls
  • A NO budget Nordstrom shopping spree (kid-free)
  • Bottomless Mimosas brought to us….in bed… after our shopping spree
  • Mani/Pedi/Eyebrow Wax/Facial/Hair Appointment
  • Any item that is posted on our Pinterest wishlist board
  • Bottles of our favorite wine
  •  Our living quarters deep cleaned from floor to ceiling (not by us)

These would be perfect gifts for not only biological mothers, but adoptive, foster, and step mothers as well! Don’t forget to give credit where credit is due. All mothers really want on this day and every day, is to feel appreciated and recognized, for all their hard work and dedication.

Being a mother is one of the greatest gifts any woman could truly have, but also the hardest jobs a woman could have as well. I swear I have aged 10 years since I became a mommy. I just want to be appreciated, told I’m pretty, fed tacos, take naps, and raise amazing little people!

Happy Mother’s Day Ladies!
